Laboratory of Industrial and Educational Embedded Systems
The Laboratory of Industrial and Educational Embedded Systems (I.E.E.S) of the Department of Informatics of the Democritus University of Thrace is a research restructure with a strong focus on the Industrial Internet of Things, cyber-physical systems, the design of complex "systems of systems" and the development of CAD/VLSI tools for embedded systems. The lab combines research and innovation with educational methodologies, promoting collaborative learning and systems training. It participates in funded projects (national and European) and collaborates closely with international and national academic and industrial institutions. The laboratory also includes extensive network of collaborating staff (faculty members, researchers, students) and is involved in multiple development initiatives.
