The Forest Botany Laboratory supports university education and scientific research in the field of Forest Botany, conducted either independently or in collaboration with laboratories from other scientific disciplines. It also contributes to society through activities related to environmental education and awareness.

Field of Research

Research in the fields of Forest Botany, Systematic Botany and Geobotany. Floristic studies, plant species identifications, surveys on vegetation and terrestrial habitat types recording. Applied research and reviews on native and exotic forest trees and shrubs, as well as aromatic and medicinal plants.
