The Forest Technology Laboratory serves the educational and research needs in the fields of forest products harvesting, forest operations, and the structure and properties of wood.

The Forest Technology Laboratory focuses on education and research in the fields of forest products harvesting, forest operations, and the structure and properties of wood. In particular, it investigates the macroscopic and microscopic structure of wood, its chemical composition, physical and mechanical properties, structural defects, and mechanisms of wood degradation. The laboratory also studies harvesting techniques, harvesting systems, and the mechanization of forest products harvesting, with an emphasis on sustainable management, ergonomics, occupational safety, and environmental protection
