The Laboratory’s task is to develop teaching programs to meet the teaching and research needs of the Department at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fields of Photointerpretation, mapping, evaluation and monitoring of the environment using terrestrial and photogrammetric methods, image processing and interpretation in Forestry, Geoinformatics, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Forest Opening Up- Skidding and Transport of Forest Products, Spatial Planning, Forest Road Construction, integrated land cadastral information systems for the investigation and inventory of land uses and the investigation and inventory of the country’s natural and human resources.
