It meets the educational and research needs in the field of Forest ecosystems management as it focuses on: (i) Management (key concepts and management principles, functions of management, programming and analysis tools in forestry), (ii) Forest management basics (goals, principles and peculiarities of forestry, models for the analysis of forest production processes, stand maturity and rotation time, spatial distribution and division of forest), (iii) Planning in forestry, (iv) Forest management methods, (v) Sustainable management of forest ecosystems.

Introduction - Presentation

It meets the educational and research needs in the field of Forest ecosystems management as it focuses on: (i) Management (key concepts and management principles, functions of management, programming and analysis tools in forestry), (ii) Forest management basics (goals, principles and peculiarities of forestry, models for the analysis of forest production processes, stand maturity and rotation time, spatial distribution and division of forest), (iii) Planning in forestry, (iv) Forest management methods, (v) Sustainable management of forest ecosystems.

Field of Research

Sustainable forest management. Inventory and analysis of forest ecosystems. Assessment and evaluation of forest ecosystem services. Planning the production of goods and services from forests. Management of protected areas. Organization of databases and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and geospatial analyses in the management of forest ecosystems and natural resources. Processing of forest management inventory data. Utilization of forest biomass for energy production. Certification of sustainable forest management.
